Richard D. Spencer - President

Dick was born on December 8, 1947. He heard the Gospel at a very young age, but did not surrender to the Lord until he was 40.  He accepted Jesus Christ when God showed him through a vision that he was not living according to His will. Since then, God has blessed him and is using him in many ways. Dick and his wife Susan are blessed with two daughters, 2 son-in laws and six grandchildren.

He first visited India in 1997 on a mission trip with Jon Nelms, President and Founder of a ministry called Final Frontiers Foundation. During that trip, Dick developed a burden for the people of India, particularly the poor and needy children.

It was during his second trip to India in January of 2000, that Dick met M. M. Surendra Babu, who was an executive director of another Christian ministry in India at the time. Within the next few months, the two men corresponded regularly, and with direction from the Lord, they felt led to form New Hope International Missions. As founder and president of New Hope International, Dick leads a mission team each year to Hyderabad, India. He uses his God given spiritual gifts of teaching and preaching on the mission field, and also serves in his home church, New Hope Baptist, Hermitage, Tennessee, as an adult Sunday school teacher.

Dick is a senior vice president of Integrated Biometric Technology, LLC, a fingerprint technology company he co-founded in 1999.
